Initiated by Dr Rachel Weiss, the Patient Partner Programme promotes patient-centred communication and authentic engagement. Dr Natashia Muna is involved in the project and is co-supervising a student with Dr Weiss.

Emmanuel Nxumalo, a third-year electrical engineering student and ASPECT alumnus, was selected to attend the Meiji University’s Science and Technology programme in Japan. Only five international students were selected to attend. The programme introduced them to various aspects of science and technology and also offered introductory lectures on Japanese society, culture and language.

Thabang Molapo, a Commerce EDU graduate, is currently serving his second year Audit articles with the Office of the Auditor General in the Western Cape . In a few weeks’ time he will be jetting off to Pretoria to celebrate being among the Top 5 for his SAIGA final qualifying professional board exams (SAIGA is the premium professional body for accountants and auditors in the public sector).
